ECCO was founded in 1963 by Carl Toosbuy. He sold his house and car to start his company. His vision was to make the most comfortable walking shoes made. ECCO shoes have been available in the United States since 1991 and was Footwear Company of the Year in 1994.

ECCO fully controls the manufacturing of the shoes from the tanning of the leathers to the design, components, and construction of the shoes. This assures the finest of qualities in the finished product. |

All shoes are made of soft handcrafted leather or nubuck uppers. No stiff mid-soles are used which lets the shoes be more flexible and lighter in weight. ECCO shoes soles are made of polyurethane which is mold injected then directly attached to the uppers, creating a flexible water tight bond. |

All waterproof shoes and boots utilizes GORE-TEX® linings to keep you warm and dry. GORE-TEX® is a 100% waterproof membrane, that like human skin breathes and lets off perspiration, yet won't let water in. GORE-TEX® can be used in warm or cold weather because it breathes so well. |

You can have many years of enjoyment with your ECCO shoes with simple care. Smooth leathers will look great by using ECCO Leather Lotion and colored shoe cream. We also recommended Cedar Shoe Trees to maintain shape and keep the leather linings dry. Cedar Shoe Trees absorb the moisture inside the shoe.
ECCO shoes are made on a European last. They are designed to fit snug in the instep and heel, and roomy up front, to allow freedom of movement and circulation the toes. |
